The MCNP310 HiVis Modacrylic Cotton Nylon Para-Aramid Spandex Fabric is a high-performance textile designed for use in safety and protective wear,
particularly in environments where high visibility and flame resistance are required. This fabric blend is meticulously engineered to provide a comprehensive
range of protective properties along with comfort and durability. Here’s a breakdown of the composite materials and their significance:
Composition and Attributes
Modacrylic: A synthetic polymer that provides excellent flame resistance, quick-drying properties, and resilience against chemicals, solvents, and UV light.
Modacrylic fibers do not combust; they char and self-extinguish, which is crucial in preventing fire hazards.
Cotton: Adds breathable comfort, moisture absorption, and softness to the fabric, making garments more suitable for extended wear in various working conditions.Nylon: Contributes strength, abrasion resistance, and durability to the fabric, enhancing the longevity of the garments made from it.
Para-Aramid: Known for its unparalleled strength and thermal stability, para-aramid adds outstanding heat and flame resistance, as well as cut and abrasion resistance
to the fabric. This material is used in various safety applications where high levels of protection are necessary.
Spandex (often referred to by the brand name Lycra): Includes stretch and flexibility, allowing for a closer fit and greater range of motion, crucial for active wearers who
need both protection and mobility.
High-Visibility (HiVis)
The term “HiVis” refers to the fabric's high-visibility properties, which are essential for ensuring the safety of workers in low-light conditions or in areas where it is critical
to be easily seen, such as on construction sites, alongside roadways, or in emergency response scenarios. HiVis garments are often brightly colored and may include reflective
tapes or stripes.
